the knits !

Ursula Dean

around 3 this afternoon we shot the new knitwear for the shop.  it took me 20 min to find a nice location - across the street :)  it's always right in front of me.  the gia is back in baby alpaca, a little chunkier and even softer i think.  the sweater vest returns in true black and light grey, i love them both.  i added the silk shell in white at the last moment.  it works so well as a sort of underpinning for wool garments keeping you warm without feeling bulky.  the light really blew out the photos of the shell unfortunately.  it is a silk/hemp blend with pretty shell buttons down the back.  i like the way it pokes out from the knitwear.
i will be adding the winter pieces to the shop later in october along with some surprises.  a beautiful book.  scarlet red silk pajamas by sleep domi and some cute leather morrocon house slippers.  please visit the shop !

  • I was thinking the same thing as Lesa when that mustard vest came out! Urs, would you do a mustard vest (no contrast hem) for me? I’ll order it when I see the October goods later this month. So excited!

  • Well…maybe something like the light grey vest with a black hem, or whatever other dark color wool you may have to work with. For the childrens’ vest, didn’t you have something like a caramel or dark mustard color with a black or navy contrast hem? That was gorgeous. I think something like that would make a great adult vest—and maybe I’m not the only one :) I like that you put the contrast roll-neck on the dark grey Gia; it’s perfect!

  • Bellissima! Will you be doing any of the sweater vests with contrast trim on the hem like you did for the children’s version?
