that’s french for a longer skirt. this one has a 1930′s feel. it actually finishes close to mid-calf and begins at the natural waist. the hips are fitted and the silhouette is very va-va-voom. i finished it like a man’s suit trouser. this version is a very soft, felted grey italian wool with horn buttons up the front.
the winter collection is close to being finished. i wanted to add a few more dresses before i open as well as add some new pieces to the children’s shoppe. my son and i are collaborating on a t-shirt. last sunday at breakfast he quickly sketched our 65′ malibu on his place setting. i looked over and an hour later we were crudely attempting to make a block print of the drawing. i’m going to sew the kid’s raglan tees in a heavy organic cotton (the kind you can pass from sibling to sibling) and then we’ll print the very rad looking car image on there.
