hand sewn velvet doll from the 1930′s.

a pirate ship for M.

dishes for the house.

typical afternoon at the studio, sewing and toys everywhere.

i’m learning it can take weeks to actually  close on a house once you’ve been accepted as the buyer.  the date has been pushed out twice now while the bank fishes for some documents.  next week is looking good (i think).

meanwhile we’ve been living sort of commune style in our living room with boxes everywhere.  on top of that the place is now crowded with my junk shop finds for the new house – chairs, dressers, a persian rug.  today, a pirate ship, velvet doll, some really beautiful dishware.  i’ve wished for a house like this for so long i guess i can wait one more week (or two?)
