some of the printed knits from france i’m having made into dresses to be available this october.  most of them will go to the shops but i’ll save about 8 of each for my shop.

a few pictures from the week off i had with my kids.  i tried to make it special and fun and not yell as much – ha ha!  if you’re a mother you know how it goes.  i wasn’t working so it was easier to listen, play, just do stuff together without being distracted.  i needed the break too.  we went to san francisco for a couple of days and splurged on the hotel nikko.  spent a day at the science museum – highly recommended.  i hadn’t been there since i was a kid and you could throw pennies onto the backs of the alligators.  certainly none of that going on anymore!  in their place was one lone albino crocodile, so beautiful.  the rain forest exhibit had an insane aquarium you view from above with sunlight pouring down onto it.  we had pancakes on mason st. and rode the cable car after i sorted out how to skip the long queue and jump on further up stockton st.  we shopped in chinatown, had pizza in north beach and then headed to my sister’s home in mill valley for a couple of days for one of 3 upcoming birthday parties for giulietta.  back home in time for easter we spent a very long and celebratory afternoon at my friend alanna’s.  the party moved from her house to the neighbors and back with lots of kids, dogs, wine and good food.

this is just another teaser!  above are 6 of 22 pieces in the spring collection.  the  SHOP is almost ready.  if everything goes as planned i’ll open in the early evening on tuesday the 27th.  a few things are very limited.  the stores bought them all up and i have maybe 1 or 2 left.  so i try to work in new pieces.  the grey parisienne is something only available here as is the indigo star fiji dress coming.

btw – the little etsy movie about me and my clan is going to air much, much sooner than anticipated.  april 24th !  i’m told it’s very short but really cute to watch.

enough about my snow .. everyone’s telling me it’s hot on the east coast.   the spring collection is nearly ready for the shop.  i’m waiting on one more dress.  while  i was getting the online shop ready sunday, one of my favorite customers miss k. snuck in some purchases to my great surprise!  i love her choice of polka dots and greys.  she has impeccable taste:)

i found this very old paper umbrella from japan in the junk shop for $8!  i’m making the studio more of a retail space now that i have another suite to store all the clothes and packing materials.  in the summer main street gets a lot of weary looking tourists that want to get away from the heat.  this place couldn’t be cooler.  we put a sign outside too!  jeremy’s cousin made it, he has the sign shop.  small town.  like mayberry but with more trucks and guns.
